Overview

Bradite Low Slip Additive LS30 is a hard aluminium oxide aggregate that mixes directly into Bradite floor and deck paints to create a durable, slip-resistant surface. Compatible with the full range of Bradite floor paints, it is ideal for wet, high-traffic, and hazardous floor areas both indoors and out.

Each pre-measured 250ml pack (400g) is sized for a 5 litre tin of paint. Simply stir in thoroughly before application, the aggregate stays suspended in the paint, locking permanently into the cured film to deliver long-lasting underfoot traction.

Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified systems, LS30 is a straightforward, cost-effective way to improve floor safety without specialist coatings.

  • Tough aluminium oxide particles withstand heavy foot traffic and abrasion
  • Delivers long-lasting slip resistance for the full life of the coating
  • Helps prevent accidents on wet and high-traffic floor areas
  • Aggregate bonds permanently into the cured paint film for lasting protection
  • Pre-measured 250ml / 400g pack - one tin per 5 litres of floor paint
  • Stays suspended in the paint during application for an even, consistent finish
  • Compatible with all Bradite floor paints
  • Suitable for interior and exterior use across a wide range of floor types
Area Interior or exterior
Recommended Use
  • Commercial and industrial floor areas subject to heavy foot traffic
  • Wet rooms, washrooms, and bathroom floors where slip hazards are present
  • Warehouse and factory floors prone to spillages or moisture
  • External decks, walkways, and ramps exposed to rain or damp conditions
  • Leisure and hospitality environments such as pool surrounds, changing rooms, and kitchens
Base Aluminium oxide aggregate
Coverage 250ml pack size is suitable for 5 Litre tin
Recommended Coats As required by base paint
Application Method Brush, roller, or appropriate applicator as specified in the base paint's technical datasheet

Preparation

Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, oil, and loose material. Refer to the technical datasheet for the specific Bradite floor paint being used for full surface preparation guidance.

Select the appropriate Bradite floor paint for your application and prepare it according to its individual product instructions. Confirm the substrate and conditions are suitable for application before incorporating the additive.

Application

  • Shake or stir the LS30 additive thoroughly before use to ensure even particle distribution.
  • Add the full contents of one 250ml LS30 tin (400g) directly into a 5 litre tin of Bradite floor paint.
  • Mix thoroughly and continuously until the aluminium oxide aggregate is evenly suspended throughout the paint.
  • Apply immediately after mixing, do not allow the mixture to stand unused for extended periods without re-stirring.
  • Apply the paint using a brush, roller, or appropriate applicator as specified in the base paint's technical datasheet.
  • Re-stir the paint regularly during application to maintain an even distribution of the aggregate.
  • The end user and applicator must verify that the finished floor surface provides adequate slip resistance under all expected usage conditions.

Aftercare & Storage

Allow the painted surface to cure fully before allowing foot traffic or placing objects on the floor

Refer to the technical datasheet for the specific Bradite floor paint used for full cure times

Cleaning

  • Clean regularly using a stiff brush or mop with a mild detergent and warm water
  • Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive cleaners, or acid-based products as these may damage the paint film
  • Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove any detergent residue

Maintaining Slip Resistance

  • Inspect the floor surface periodically to ensure slip resistance remains effective
  • Remove any grease, oil, or heavy soiling promptly as these can reduce underfoot traction
  • Do not apply additional floor coatings or sealers over the surface without first consulting the Bradite technical datasheet

Damage and Recoating

  • If the coating becomes worn or damaged, clean the area thoroughly before reapplying
  • When recoating, add Bradite Low Slip Additive LS30 to the new paint as per the original application instructions to maintain slip resistance
  • Always ensure the finished surface continues to meet slip resistance requirements for its intended use
