Aftercare & Storage

To ensure your ProDec synthetic sash brushes stay in top condition and continue to perform at their best, follow these simple aftercare steps:

Clean Immediately After Use:

• For water-based paints, rinse the brush thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear.
• For solvent-based paints, use an appropriate brush cleaner or white spirit to clean the bristles, followed by rinsing with warm water.

Remove Excess Paint: Gently press the bristles against the side of the paint tin or a piece of clean cloth to remove any excess paint before cleaning.

Shape the Bristles: After cleaning, use your fingers to gently reshape the brush tip to its original form to maintain precision for future use.

Dry Properly: Hang the brush with the bristles facing down or lay it flat to air dry. Avoid standing the brush on its bristles to prevent any deformation.

Store Correctly: Once dry, store the brush in a cool, dry place, preferably in a protective cover or brush holder to prevent the bristles from being damaged.

Regular Maintenance: Periodically clean your brush even if it hasn’t been used recently to prevent paint buildup and ensure its longevity.
