Placed between your 225mm backing pad and sanding disc, the interface pad adds a 5mm layer of cushioning that allows the abrasive to conform more naturally to the shape of the workpiece. This produces a softer, more even finish across the entire sanding surface, reducing the risk of pressure marks, flat spots, and uneven results, particularly valuable when working on larger surfaces where consistency is essential.
