Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard is a water-based, matt paint crafted for interior wood and metal surfaces. Johnstone's Trade's most durable water-based Matt paint, Aqua Guard offers advanced application qualities, exceptional hiding power, and a long-lasting white finish. Its innovative surface protection technology ensures protection against scratches, wear and tear and greasy finger marks for a durable high-quality finish. This makes it ideal for high-traffic areas.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

• Remove any loose or flaking material
• Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.
• Prime bare wood with Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat. Prime all other bare surfaces with Johnstone’s Trade Advanced Multi Surface Primer. No primer or undercoat is required on previously painted surfaces, prepare as normal and apply direct.
• Apply one full coat of Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat to all correctly prepared surfaces before application of Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Guard Matt.

Note: for strong colour changes it is recommended to use Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat in the final colour of choice.

Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed
• Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard paint can be applied by brush or roller
• Ensure good ventilation during application and drying

Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the tin

Aftercare & Storage

Store the paint in dry conditions and protect from extremes of temperature.

After use firmly secure the lid and store in a secure upright position.
