Overview

Geocel Trade Mate Roofers Seal is a high-performance, single-component sealant designed for both wet and dry surfaces. Specifically formulated for use on lead, bitumen, and galvanised steel, this versatile sealant provides excellent adhesion and is compatible with asphalt. It is ideal for sealing gaps and cracks on roofs and other exterior surfaces. You can also paint over after curing to enhance aesthetic appeal.

Preparation

Ensure surfaces and gaps are clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, and grime. Also check the sealants compatibility with substrates before application.

Application

1. Ensure gaps and cracks are clean from dust, dirt, and grease.
2. Remove nozzle, cut off the end of the cartridge, replace nozzle, and cut to desired width.
3. Use a cartridge gun to apply the sealant into the gap or crack, ensuring full contact with the sides and back of the joint.
4. Tool immediately after application on wet surfaces to ensure a good bond.
5. Remove excess sealant with a dry disposable cloth before curing. Use alcohol-based solvents for tool cleanup.
6. Sealant can be painted after 24 hours; check paint manufacturer's specifications for compatibility.
